Kimi ni Todoke 6 Sanada kun's older brother comes back home to visit and Chizu is really happy to meet him again so unexpectedly. She realizes she wears very plain clothes and complains to Sanada kun that he didn't tell her he would come. Suddenly Tooru asks someone in. It's a pretty looking woman and kinda shocked, Chizu asks if she's Tooru's girlfriend and he says, yes, they are going to marry. Chizu of course, is shocked but tries to play it off a little. Tooru introduces everyone to his girlfriend and says about Chizu that she's always been like a sister to him. There's not much expression on Sanada kun's face, but Sawako, Yano chan and Kazehaya all look pretty worried. They all leave Sanada kun's house and Chizu is still the same as usual. They later play trumps and Chizu seems really genki and into the game. Sawako and Yano chan are worried and Yano chan asks if Chizu is okay and she says she is. She says she thought about goingto meet Taaru tomorrow, since he's always been the person she looked up to and is a big thing he's getting married. Yano chan jokes and says there are other good guys out there and for a second Chizu seems weird but then she smiles and says that's true. They go to bed late and Sawako falls asleep worrying about Chizu. On the next morning, Sawako wakes up and sees Chizu at her closet. As she's taking out her jeans, Sawako sees the denim mini skirt that was really expenisve, but Chizu wanted so much, to impress Tooru. She really bought it after all. Sawako and Yano chan leave later and they are talking about Chizu. Suddenly, Sawako starts to cry and says that Chizu was looking so forward to wearing the miniskirt. She says couldn't say anything to Chizu, the words just didn't come out. Yano chan says it was the same for her. Meanwhile Chizu thinks how Tooru was always really kind to her as a child and that he was always popular and had girlfriends, but it never really lasted long. Chizu thinks how she always wanted to become Tooru's bride. At Sanada kun's, Tooru and his girlfriend are leaving and Tooru says he'll come back for Oshogatsu. He says at that time, Sanada kun should make Chizu come and meet Tooru again and Sanada kun says ok. At night, Chizu is in her room thinking it's hard to face him now so she didn't go to meet him. Suddenly, she runs out to see him anyway, but on the way she meets Sanada kun. He says she's too late, but Tooru wants to meet her the next time he comes. She asks him if he didn't tell her about the whole thing because he was worried, but with a rather cold face, he says no. He tells her he is glad it turned out like this and now Chizu can give up on Tooru. Chizu throws something into his face, calls him "Baseball Idiot" and runs away. What she threw into his face was the sports sack, she bought for Sanada kun's birthday, that had "Baseball Idiot" written on it. The next day at school, sawako and Yano chan are still worrying because they can't help Chizu and they have a conversation with Kazehaya, who says he also knew Chizu liked Tooru because she would always come to hang out at Sanada kun's house during Oshogatsu a lot. The girls wonder how they could help Chizu if they are just not able to comfort her with words and Kazehaya kun says that's okay too, they don't have to say anything. Later he leaves with his friend, thinking Chizu will be alright because she has these two and she also has Sanada kun. Chizu comes to class and sees Sanada kun and is ignoring him. During lunch break, Chizu runs off to buy bread and when she comes back, Sanada kun is waiting for her in front of the classroom. She still ignores him so he grabs her arm and make her drop all the bread she bought. She asks him if he came to apologize for what he said yesterday, but he says he won't apologize. Chizu gets mad at him because he said to her he is glad Chizu found out about Tooru the night before and tells she never fell in love with Tooru just to get rejected. And she wanted to meet him once more, but she came last night to give Sanada kun his present. Still pissed, Chizu leaves Sanada kun and her bread behind. She meets Sawako and Yano chan and sawako as usual, can't hold her tears back XD- Chizu complains about Sanada kun, what he said to her yesterday and all even though she was really looking forward to give him the present and starts crying. Yano chan says she's actually really happy that Chizu is now complaining and not just playing the situation off. At night, we see Sanada kun making a phone call and asking the other person over saying he has a lot of bread that he got from Chizu. The girls are walking home together and Chizu says she's actually kinda happy Sawako cares so much about her. Yano chan asks if Chizu wants to go and eat her beloved Ramen, but Chizu says she doesn't want to face Sanada kun now. Yano chan agrees, but says it's kinda good she fought with Sanada kun, so she could finally let her feelings out. They ask Chizu what she would do if she saw Tooru again and she says confess… or maybe not because there's no sense anyway. They keep walking and suddenly they see Tooru standing on the side of the road. He says he wants to borrow Chizu for a while. Chizu goes with him and Sawako reminds Chizu that she's wearing an miniskirt and Chizu says that's true (that's about the demin miniskirt that Chizu wanted to wear so much when meeting Tooru for Oshogatsu). Sanada kun comes back from jogging and sees the two walking together (looking a little mad maybe, not sure) Chizu and Tooru take a walk together and share a Nikuman and Anman, like they used to when they were kids abd they are passing by places they often went top in the past. Chizu is really surprised that Tooru remembers what and where they played as kids. Tooru asks if Sanada kun still makes Chizu cry, like he did as a kid, and she says know, but then remembering what happened between them in the morning. Tooru says Sanada kun is a good guy, who would never lie to Chizu and who is very close to her and he knows they just fought this morning. He suddenly comments that Chizu's uniform looks really good on her and smiles. Chizu asks him why he decided to marry this woman an he says because he thought he wants to be with her forever and Chizu thinks that a neighbor's kid will always just be a neighbor's kid. Tooru sees that Chizu is said so he aks her to say "Chiiiiiii" because if she does, it is as if she's smiling :). Chizu does and as she's thinkin of his smiling face, she says she likes him. He says he likes her too and Chizu knows it's only as a friend. He says she's like a cute sister to him, and Chizu thinks she's actually happy to hear this and he will always be important to her… as a borther. Later, Tooru comes home and to say good bye to Sanada kun and Sanada kun gives him Chizu's bread (so I guess the person Sanada kun called was Tooru). Tooru says he thinks Sanada kun really grew up and adds that he thinks he (Sanada kun) and Chizu would be a good match. Sanada kun says he thinks so too. Sanada kun then goes to visit Chizu but she's not home so he tells her mother he might know where to find her and goes to look for her. He finds her at the river and says he knew because that's the place where Tooru always went and where they last met before he went to Sapporo. Chizu says thank you for calling Tooru, so that he would come to talk to Chizu. She knows it took him long to get here, but she was really happy to see him. Sanada kun also says thank you for the birthday present. Chizu says about their fight, maybe she really never honestly fell in love with Tooru, but just looked up to him as brother and Sanada kun says he knows that Chizu always honestly loved him. Chizu starts crying and says he just made her cry. They hug. From the next chapter, Sawako and Kazehaya's story is the main topic again. It's shortly before Christmas and the class plans have a get together on Christmas eve with all the singles. Sawako gets a little excited and wonders if she can go too and Kazehaya says everyone can go. Yano chan says this might be the first and last time she can spend christmas with Sawako because next year, she'll have a boyfriend to spend it with, again. In a small voice, she adds next year Sawako probably won't spend Christmas as single either XD After school, Sawako is looking at the list for the get together and thinks this is what she really wants to do. Kazehaya comes in and sees that Sawako was looking at the list. He tells her she should go with them and she says she wants to, really, but she needs to ask her parents first. At home, she already prepares handmade gift for everyone and then goes to ask her parents if she can spend Christmas this year with his friends, but Sawako papa is really excited and Sawako really can't ask them. At school, Yano chan and Chizu are sad that Sawako won't make it, but they are really happy about the gift Sawako has prepared for them. Kazehaya comes up and they show him the gifts but he says wouldn't it have been better to give it to them on Christmas eve, so they tell him Sawako can't make it because she has to celebrate with her family. After school, Sawako is by herself in class again and looking at the list, thinking she can go next year. Outside, Kazehaya is standing, and you can see on his face that he is dissappointed Sawako won't come. On Christmas eve, Sawako puts the hat that she knitted for Kazehaya next to her parents gifts so her father sees it and thinks Sawako has made it for him. He's so happy about it, that Sawako won't say anything and lets him believe it's his gift. Later, Sawako Papa asks if Sawako has fun celebrating and she says yes. The phone rings and it's Yano chan and Chizu calling her from the get together and saying they miss her. Suddenly the change the phone and it's Kazehaya on the other line. Sawako gets excited and can't get a word out, but cries instead, when Sawako Mama comes and says she wants to say 'Hi' to Sawako's friends, so she ends up talking to Kazehaya. Kazehaya says it's fun, but it would be a loooot more fun if Sawako was there ^_^ Meanwhile, Sawako asks her father if she can just go to meet everyone for a moment. Sawako Papa says she should have told them earlier and gives her a gift and says if it gets late, she should call. Her gift is a new cell phone. Sawako leaves super happy and Sawako Papa is crying XD Sawako is thinking she might not make it in time and everybody will already be gone, but once she arrives at the restaurant, she sees Kazehaya waiting for her alone in the cold. He says he was thinking that she might would come and smiles at her. He gives her a present , which is a cute phone strap and Sawako's eyes get all watery again. She shows him her cell phone so he can put the strap on it for her. They exchange numbers and Sawako thinks the first number she has saved in her cell phone is Kazehaya's, which makes her really happy. My opinion on Kimi ni Todoke vol 6 I did like the volume and I definitely didn't hate the Chizu storyline, but I am glad it's now moving back to the Sawako storyline, she is the main after all. On more thing abt. Chizu x Tooru x Sanada kun, it didn't come out so much in the story and definitely not in my summary, but I think that after finding out Tooru is going to get married she wasn't so much into him any more and it definitely hurt and disturbed her more that she fought with Sanada kun, than that Tooru is going to get married. Sanada kun and Chizu are such a great couple. I totally loved the scene, when Tooru said he thinks Sanada kun and Chizu would make a great couple and Sanada kun said "I think so too". I really love him ^__^ From now on, there will be a lot of Kazehaya x Sawako scenes. In fact, in vol 7 they'll have a lot of scenes with only the two of them and they are really really cute.
