Parfait Tic 9
 |
Warning at the beginning, volume 9 is a veeeeery depressing book for Fuuko & Ichi supporters like me. I could hardly bring myself to read it, I'm not kidding…
Fuuko and Ichi are fighting again because of what both said and Fuuko tries to talk herself out of the situation. Fuuko says she was saying this because Ichi fans kept asking her questions about Ichi, she didn't know answer for, "and so?" Ichi asks. Fuuko is blushing and thinks this is bothering her and she also thinks she wants to know more about him because she loves him.
Later Fuuko is walking around on the campus when she sees Akio-sempai looking somewhere lost in thoughts. Daiya comes up and because he's loud Akio-sempai realizes the two and leaves quickly. Fuuko and Daiya want to know what she was looking at and they see Isocchi playing basketball in the gym. They can't believe it and Isochi comes out to them. He asks what they are doing and Daiya says he's a lucky one. Later at the tennis practice, Fuuko is trying to talk about it with Akio-sempai again. Akio-sempai then says Fuuko has to play a tennis match and Fuuko is shocked that she has to play. Daiya comes and he says he'll practice with her and they have lots of fun, which even continues after practicing. Daiya looks really so happy and Fuuko is looking at him, smiling. She thinks she still loves that person, but now it's another kind of love and it should be all right to tell him. She says to Daiya that she loves Ichi.
At first Daiya stares at her ,but then he acts as if he is supporting her and finds everything great. He asks if Ichi already knows and Fuuko says not yet. Fuuko thinks she wants to find strength (actually that's what she's thinking on the page before ^^; ) to tell Ichi about that. They continue joking around and daiya says she should hurry up, before she's too old. On his way home, Daiya is picking up three stones. He is looking at them , then he lets two stones fall on the ground and keeps one stone and throws it in the air and catches it again. We cannot really see his face in this scene. (that's connected to vol 7 when Daiya showed his view of the relationship of the three to Fuuko, with the help of three stones). On the next day at school ,a girl gives the pictures of the festival to Fuuko, those really bad pictures o her with Ichi. Ichi takes the pictures and Fuuko thinks he should have a better picture of her
and finds a really good one of her at | home. Then she realizes what weird thing she's doing. She hears Ichi coming home and goes to the window. Ichi points to the moon and realizes how pretty he is. She goes out with Ichi and they are fighting again. Fuuko tthinks about the situation and Ichi says she has something on her cheek. Ichi takes her arm and is staring at her and she at him.
Under the moon, their heads come closer and closer. Ichi has avery romantic expression on his face and Fuuko slowly closes her eyes. She then gets to excited about the upcoming kiss and gets a strange and non-relaxed expression and Ichi gets angry. They fight (again) and then Fuuko takes out her camera and takes a picture of them, but she doesn't look happy at all. At school ,Fuuko is telling her friends about that and they get excited and all three stare at Ichi when he comes, which makes him angry again.
Later Fuuko is looking at Ichi and he smiles at her. Fuukos friends comment about this. Ichi is finishing his shop at the restaurant and finds Fuuko waiting for him. They go home together and Fuuko is looking at him, thinking he is good looking and she keeps staring at his mouth, she thinks that this situation and everything now is perfect. She calls his name and is about to confess when a "Kyaaa" interrupts them. It comes from a cute girl who dropped her money while she wanted to buy some juice and Fuuko helps her getting her things together. The girl show her an address and says she's looking for this house and Fooku stares because of the adress, when suddenly, someone says "Iori-san….?".
It's Ichi, and both, he and Iori-san stare at each other. The girl calls him I-chan and Fuuko asks if they know each other. Iori-san runs to Ichi to hug him, but he holds her back. Fuuko is looking, well, very small and Iori asks if this is Ichi's girlfriend and he says she isn't (argh, she was just about to become his girlfriend, you….). Iori gives them a ride with her car and Fuuko sits on the back seat. The atmosphere is tense and Ichi doesn't look to comfortable. Fuuko is watching Iori and realizes how pretty her eyes are. She feels like as if she's sitting far away from them. At their house Iori also hugs Daiya and Ichi is still acting strange. Fuuko says goodbye and leaves, she is then standing at her door, looking very desperate. At school, Ichi is making fun of Fuukos hairstyle, so Fuuko opens her hair and she looks really down. Ichi's looking at her with a strange expression on his face. At the tennis practice Fuuko cannot concentrate at all and gets a ball into her face. Daiya comes to her and asks if she's all right and Fuuko says she is. Daiya calls her name and asks her if she wants it to end like this and Fuuko fakes a smile and thinks "no". She sees Ichi at the school gate and calls him, but he's with Iori-san. Iori-san says he wanted to meet him again and Fuuko thinks that can't be happening. Iori then acts normal again and says it has been a long time that they did something together, so she asks Ichi to go out to eat with her and they leave in her car. Fuuko looks really desperate. On the next day Fuuko created a new hairstyle very similar to the one Ichi laughed about and Ichi wants to touch her hair but Fuuko freaks out. Ichi looks at her in shock and Fuuko apologizes. She asks happiliy (faked) if Ichi liked "Chikinkatsu" (that's what Iori wanted to eat with him) and he stares at her and asks how could she know this and Fuuko says she saw them leaving with the car. She asks "do you like this" (argh, it's almost impossible to put in English HOW Fuuko says this) and Ichi asks "the Chikinkatsu?" and Fuuko says "No, Iori-san?".
Ichi turns around and looks at Fuuko's genki face, then he turns around again and says yes, he does. During PE class they take a break and Fuuko sits down on the ground and Ichi joins her. Both suddenly realize that their fingers are touching, and they don't remove their hands. Somebody makes a comment and has a faked expression again, but in really she's really down. Later Daiya realizes how down Fuuko is and he makes her feel a little better and Fuuko is thankful for this. She thinks everythings will be all right, but while she goes singing Karaoke with Daiya, Ichi meets with Iori-san. When Ichi comes home ,Daiya is waiting for him and asks him where he want that he comes home so late and asks him if he was out with Iori. Daiya says he went to sing Karaoke with Fuuko.
Ichi turns around with an expression on his face as is he isn't interested at all and says "so what?" (I think this is the worst scene off all. After all the things Ichi said and did out of jealousy, this really is a horrible expression. At school, Ichi and Fuuko talk and Ichi mentions October 20th and Fuuko realizes it's her birthday. When she looks into her locker, she sees a present and is stunned. It's from Ichi and gloves are inside and Fuuko is super happy about that and she even sleeps with them ^^;.
On the next day Fuuko goes to the tennis practice and she's very happy an cheery. Akio-sempai seems to be a little down (her self-confidence is pretty low) and Fuuko cheers her up by telling her how cute she is. Later Fuuko and Daiya watch Isocchi and Akio-sempai being together. During this, Daiya invites Fuuko to come with him to his grandparents. They visit them and Daiya shows Fuuko around and he also shows her the house where he and Ichi used to live. Fuuko gets a little sentimental again and Daiya cheers her up again. Fuuko looks at him, she smiles a little. They also see pictures of Ichi and Daiya when they were still young and a class picture of Ichi and Iori-san. Grandfather is surprised that Fuuko knows Iori and he asks Daiya if Ichi still meets with that girl and Daiya says, no they just met by chance and Fuuko thinks that's not true what he says. The grandparents continue talking about Iori-san and Ichi and Fuuko is really down, Daiya notices this. Later they leave and in front of their house, they meet Ichi with Iori. Iori-san seems very happy, Fuuko and Daiya stare and Ichi looks away, he shows no reaction. Iori talks about Fuuko's birthday and asks if she likes the gloves, 'cause…. It was her who chose them. Fuuko is shocked, while Iori continues talking, Fuukos excuses herself and runs away.
In her room she takes the gloves and throws them on the floor.
What is Sanae thinking about Parfait Tic volume 9?
The beginning was so good, but now…. I guess we finally know what's about this silly mug, that Ichi carried around at the beginning of Parfait Tic. At first I kinda liked Iori, but meanwhile I hate her. She destroyed everything, I really wanted to see Fuuko and Ichi ending up together *sighs* (tho I need to say that I could hit Ichi at the moment, he's not very fair and he hurts Fuuko a lot). It sounds stupid but I really didn't enjoy reading this volume, I felt really bad even after only looking through it. It's only what I think, but Fuuko won't end up with Ichi, she'll come together with Daiya or nobody (I think the last possibility would be cool… somehow ^^; ). As for Daiya, he was cool in this volume and I'm still not sure if he fell for Fuuko or just felt left out. I think the next volumes will be depressing too, but I'm still looking forward to it. Do you remember what I wrote after volume 8 about Fuuko and Ichi if they won't be together in the end? Well, I can already see my Manga lying in the corner…..
