Hi!
I am hoping that someone will be able to translate my email, so that you can know that many people on the other side of the world love your work. I am a really big fan of the comic Youth Gone Wild, and am delighted that you have at last put up the official website! And what a website!- even though I can only understand english - I enjoyed the content thoroughly.
I have been a fan since 1999 and at first I just loved looking at your art, but soon I got ahold of the manhuas in 2003 and got translations of the story. I love Youth Gone Wild, it is my absolute favorite manhua. I even have one of the only english language fansites and the one and only english fanlisting. If you want to visit, the links are below.
fansite :endless mile: http://www.suki-da.net/endless/index.html
fanlisting :the death fanclub: http://www.suki-da.net/endless/fanclub.html
I am trying to promote an english publication as well. I am not sure how this would work, aside from getting lots of english speaking fans to support the manhua. I hope you would someday lisence an english translation.
I was also wondering if you are ever going to release an artbook. Many of your beautiful pictures, I have only seen in grayscale, because of the format of the manhua volumes. I would love to be able to buy a book of just color pictures of Youth Gone Wild.
Thank you for your wonderful work- please continue!

Hi! Ann,
It's so wonderful and toughing [touching] to get your email!
I've never imagined that there was SOMEONE on the other side of the world reading my works!
My poor English stopped me from writing to you,
so that I hope you don't mind my bothering a friend to translate it!
I just wonder how you found the volumes of "YOUTH GONE WILD"?
To my understanding, my publisher didn't issue an English version!
(though I look forwards to it someday)
Meanwhile I surfed the fansite you constructed, where you collected so many pictures in the content~~
They were much more detailed even than my own collections in the official website!
What a job! I have an idea to put its link on my site! How does it sound to you?^^
If considering an issue of an artwork, I'm crazy about this idea, too!
By the way I'm urged to work on my new creation, "THE ONE", which describes a story of a model! (and the next scene will be set in New York City!)^^
If everything is smooth upon the end, then an artwork is possibly expecting!!
Anyway I really appreciate that you put your encouragement in writing!
I'll move on and forward!
P.S. my friend told me your name sounded like French!
Do you mind my asking where you were from?

Hi! I am so happy you replied!
I own the chinese publication of Youth Gone Wild. However, you have some fans who speak both english and chinese and write fan translations so that we english-only speakers can enjoy your manhua. You must know that there are people all over the U.S.A and Canada who read your manhua, as well as people in France, Germany and Brazil! You are fast reaching your goal to become greatest manhua author!
I am very excited that you are writing another story, "The One". I hope to buy it soon! New York City is an amazing setting for any story, and the art of tall skyscrapers will be good. The only thing I don't like is that usually in manhua, American characters are portrayed as snobs... I hope one of your New Yorkers will be nice to our heroine :)
I would be honored if you linked to my site! I hope you don't mind that I have already linked to yours- I felt it was essential that my site shows fans how to reach you. You may blame me if you start having to translate more emails so you can read them ;)
My ancestors are from Ireland and Italy, and my name is Italian. I was born American, so I don't think much about my ethnic background, but I am proud of my last name which means "of love." Also there is a saying in Canada- "Anne with an 'e'" -which means that the name 'Anne' is very different from the name 'Ann'. I am proud of the 'e' in my first name. In Celtic (Irish) Anne means 'wisdom' and my middle name, Bridget, means 'strength', so my full name means 'Strong Wisdom of Love'. I think this is a good name. Does your name have a meaning?
I also want to ask if it would be okay to post these emails on my webpage, so other fans can 'meet' you.
Thank you so much!
Anne

Hi~!Anne,
Honestly, I had no idea that there were so many people accross countries who might read my manhuas! What an amazing surprise!!
Concerning the new story "The One", there is no cause for worry! Both of the leading male characters are New Yorkers. Surely any plot that a snob/New Yorker who is mean to our heroine will not be allowed~!!^^
I am grateful to have you explain backgrounds and origins of your name for me! You do have a fine name, which inspires me to portray it as one role in my story! I just wonder whether it is personal to you or not?
There is nothing significantly meaningful in my name, therefore I honestly admire your name in terms of 'Strong Wisdom of Love'!! Well, I feel it's wonderful beyond words!^^
You are asking to post these emails on your website? Okay! My pleasure~!! Please send my regards, besides, to all you friends who are always supportive of the work "Youth Gone Wild"!!
By the way, I started to burn candles at both ends again. I hope you don't mind some letters, afterwards, would not be taken care soonly .......

I will be brief because you are busy, and I especially want you to work on your story rather than emailing me ;), so I can happily read your manga.
I would be delighted if you used my name! I would want to see "The One" even more (if that is possible for me :)
Good Luck and Inspiration!
Anne
