Regulations

This isn't exactly an elite RPG, but you are expected to know how to write. Here are a few (bendable) rules that will help you along:

  • Spell check when unsure. If you don't know how to spell a word or you aren't quite sure what one means, even if you need a new one because you've already used another word with the same meaning three times, use Dictionary.com. It is your friend.

  • Don't one-line post. Be descriptive, we want to know what's happening! If all you were going to type was a bit of dialogue, turn that into a paragraph. Tell us if you're gesturing with your hands or nervously shuffling your feet. Tell us about the blue sky and the gentle breeze.

  • Don't powerplay or play God. That means, you don't control another person's character at all. You cannot say that they have rolled their eyes, if that character's owner hasn't given consent. You don't truly know how that character may react, so don't assume. Playing God would be you being stabbed ten times and still running around. Doesn't work that way, hon.

  • When you are typing Out of Character (OOC), but it in parentheses or state what is OOC and what is In Character (IC). Otherwise, save all the rest of the Off-Topic thread.

  • There is no rating for this RP. Basically, the Uglies trilogy is a story about older teenagers. They kiss, they cuss, they fight, they kill, and they probably have sex. Just don't got all NC-17 on us. And, if you are pissed off at someone in this forum, don't bring it to the forum. Not even into the Off-Topic section. We don't want to hear it and it's probably best if you just shut up about it period. If you have a sincere problem, please don't hesitate to contact an administrator. Just don't make posts cussing people out, because that would be mean.

  • Keep up to date with this site! Not only is this the only route to blogs and graphics requests, it is also the single place where you learn of any important news we may have.

  • Keep in contact with people! The first thing to do before you submit your application is to make an introductory thread or PM someone and tell them you are new. We want to welcome you! It will be easier to plot brew, etc. when you are well-aquainted with everybody.

  • There is no set limit for how many characters you can have, but please keep in mind that not many people can successfully juggle five characters. It's best if you work hard on your first character or two, give them substance, and then if you still feel the need to broaden your horizons, go for it.
